We previously stated that there were no new proverbs being created, but here are some that appear to be modern.

Weather
The majority of the proverbs regarding the weather have grown into rhymes. For example "Red sky at night, sailors delight" has a second line although most of us only quote the single line. To accommodated the weather section a separate page has been created titled Folk Lore Weather Forecasting.
Contradictions
A proverb is a popular saying, expressing a truth or common fact. However this has led to some proverbs being a direct contradiction of another.
